silicolgel is an oral gel containing colloidal silicic acid for the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders and IBS symptoms. Taken 3 times a day, it helps to control symptoms such as stomach discomfort, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, flatulence, nausea, heartburn, reflux and vomiting. Its therapeutic effect is due to the large and reactive surface of colloidal silicic acid and its ability to act as an adsorbent.After silicolgel is swallowed, it forms a protective and soothing coating over the lining of the stomach and intestines.

Due to the adsorptive and binding properties of colloidal silicic acid, it physically adsorbs and binds most irritants, toxins and pathogens. This action makes them harmless, allowing them to be naturally removed from the body. Silicic acid can also reduce excess acidity and bind gases. This can also reduce flatulence.
